all at sea

Am quite please with the fishing boat in this work. It  took a while to get scale and shape right.
I love using vintage denim for the sea, the colour and texture really works well.

sitting gull

Seagulls always make me think of fish suppers on the Ayr seafront!

Been burning the after work oil to make a couple more cards.  Will work on more framed art at the weekend when I have a wee bit more energy!

More creations...

My stock is growing...

Experimentation!

I have used a picture plate from a childrens book from the 1950's along with fabric and ribbon to create this card.  I love old children's books and the pictures have such an innocence about them.  I have credited the book on my back of card label.

new baby girl! love this card!

Christmas is a coming!

Have created a few cards for Christmas. Alot more are needed!

Working towards Made in W.A. event in Warrington Market

Have been working away despite the tempting unseasonal hot weather!  seem to be obsessed by the sea at the moment and have used the East Neuk villages of Scotland as inspiration for one large picture.

Grappenhall Village fair 3 September 2011

My daughter Katie joined me for the day at Grappenhall.  I met a very chatty and interesting lady from the WI who has many more years of craft experience than I!!
